Is MAMAZOO Eco-Friendly?
Yes. Our aim is to minimize negative impact on the environment as much as possible. Mamazoo searches for the latest fabric releases in the sustainable category that the Brazilian industry supplies. Our pieces are made with Amni Soul Eco yarn, a biodegradable fabric that returns to biomass in 28 months instead of 11 years when correctly disposed of in landfills; Fabric made from recycled PET plastic bottles and fabric made from polyamide waste. We use water-based paints that are free of heavy metals. Our packaging is made from recycled material, our stickers are compostable. We are part of the fair trade movement, one of the pillars of economic and ecological sustainability.
Who makes the parts?
The creation of the pieces is carried out by the designer and founder of the brand, Maria Ana Moura. The production is done by a beautiful team of collaborators: Taysa Sgrott and team, Ana Gino, Bea and Rosy.
Where are the parts made?
The creative process of the collections takes place in Caraíva-BA and production in Floripa-SC. It is very rewarding to be able to contribute to the local economy and fair working relationships that are so special to the MAMAZOO family.
What is the origin of the materials?
The fabrics and elastics are made in São Paulo-SP and the labels and tags are made in a small family business in Floripa-SC.
Which parts are biodegradable?
All of our plain colored pieces have fabric and lining made with Amni Soul Eco®, the first biodegradable polyamide yarn in the world. The printed products are made with biodegradable lining and fabric from used and recycled plastic bottles (PET). We are working very hard to reach the manufacturer's minimum order order so that the printed fabrics are also made from biodegradable material.
Are the packaging Environmentally Friendly?
Yes. To send the pieces we use @ecoenclose flat bags, made with 100% recycled and recyclable material. The stickers with our logo are from @noissueco and are printed with FSC®️ certification, a certificate of responsible forest management. At Boutique Mamazoo, in Caraíva-BA, we use plain bags made from Brown Kraft paper, a biodegradable, compostable and recyclable material.
What does it mean to have the Eureciclo Seal?
It means that the brand allocates resources to the recycling chain through environmental compensation. In partnership with @seloeureciclo , MAMAZOO sends for recycling the equivalent of 200% of the waste it generates with packaging in its production process. This certification helps companies follow the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS), which determines that every consumer goods company must prove the correct destination of at least 22% of its post-consumer packaging. The certification already has more than 4 thousand brands engaged and more than 180 thousand tons compensated and its main objective is to increase recycling rates in Brazil. We hope that more companies join the eureciclo team and that the environmental impact of solid waste disposal becomes less and less.
Where is MAMAZOO located?
Our physical stores are located in Caraíva in Bahia and Praia Mole in Floripa. Our stock is divided between Florianópolis-SC and Caraíva, so if you receive your package with a little sand, it's because we work on the beachfront and it's a remnant of paradise for you ;)
How are parts shipped?
We ship our products via Azul Express leaving Porto Seguro-BA and Floripa-SC. Orders are processed Monday through Friday and shipped within 3 business days. We have fixed shipping for almost all regions of Brazil of R$35 and purchases from R$500 and deliveries in Floripa are free!
How does returning parts work?
The return of a piece can be made within a maximum of 7 calendar days from the date of receipt of the merchandise. The product must not show signs of use and/or washing, must be labeled and in its original condition, unless it has a factory defect. Per hour for national purchases only.
